This weeks Hash #590 - Sunday March 3rd, 2013

After a long time away, we are reaching out to the North of the city, and heading up to Tigre this Sunday for the Hash. It's always a delight to head to this tranquil area of the city, especially at this time of the year, when the intense heat has abated, and the January crowds have departed. Red Hot Chilli, Drill My Hole and Forest Drunk will be looking after us this week, so look forward to a great day out, and great Hashing.

Date: Sunday March 3rd, 11am for 11.30(ish) start.

Location: 200m from Tigre Train Station, turn left when exiting station, and look for the Hashers.

How to get there:

By Train: From Retiro on the Mitre Line, all the way to Tigre.

By Car: If coming by car , take Panamericana ramal Tigre, leave going in direction to train station, pass first "Rotonda" continue at second Rotonda or "Fuente de Agua" turn and park in front of "Oficina Informacion Turistica Tigre".

What to Bring: Hash Fee of AR$40, Off, Sun screen, Hash Mug, Plate, Yourself, A friend, A sense of humour.....

This Weeks Hash #589 - Sunday 17th February

As I know you will all be desperate to get back hashing after the three week gap, an the quiet weekend of Carnival!, our GM and his beautiful wife, are hosting the 589th Hash of the BA Hash Gang this coming Sunday, in the suburb of Nunez. Everyone is welcome, and the swimming pool in the back garden has been known to get a lot of use at this time of the year, albeit after the Run! If you're new to Hashing, we'll look after you, and believe it or not, we don't bite..... At least, not often.

Hash News - Thursday 7th February

Hope that everyone is in good form, and raring up for Carnival. For those expecting details of the next hash, a note to advise you that the mis-management committee took a decision to amend the calendar at this time of the year, so as to avoid holiday weekends.

The next Hash will be on February 17th, hared by our GM, and taking place at his palatial home in the leafy suburb of Nunez. Full details will be published next week.

Plans are taking shape for the Big Bash in April, and if you haven't already booked the dates in your diaries, do so right away, as we guarantee you will not want to miss this. Your children's children will be talking about the weekend for years to come.

Hares Always Needed

As you know, the Hash can only survive with the help of YOU. Hares are always welcomed with open arms, and ifg you check out the dates on the Hash Calender, you will see we have a few gaps waiting to be filled by urstwhile volunteers. Don't panic if you a virgin to hareing, the mis-managent will help you to plan a greatday, and as all will tstify, it's not as hard as you might think. Let me know, Inspect Her Assets, when YOU would be willing to Hare!

Another special Hash Day - Mar 24th

As you know, our Hash traditionally has the run, the beer, and then something to eat, provided by the hares. As a break from this tradition, the Hash on March 24th, to be hared by yours truly, and his partner in crime, Tongue y Lingus, will be slightly different. The run, and the beer will be the same, so no difference there, but it's the afters that will bring a change for those that want to.

Here in the picturesque city of Avellaneda, where the hash will take place, there is the World Famous, El Tano Parilla, and as a special occasion for those that would like to sample the restaurant, after the Circle, we will have a table booked for the Hash crowd. It's an all you can eat type place, and while price inflation can change things overnight, last time we went. just before Xmas, it cost around 130 pesos, including dessert, and beer & wine.

Mark the date in your diaries for a good run, and great food too.

Yesss! El RA nos ha informado que el tiempo para este próximo HASH del Monte Grande el próximo domingo será espectacular!!! 🌞Así que prepárense para disfrutar de una tarde herrrrrrmosita, con un litro de cerveza por persona... No pidan más!
De todas formas el Beer Master algo les podrá convidar!
Para todos aquellos que no puedan conseguir un lift que los lleve hasta la cas del HASH, acá van las indicaciones (por ahora en castellano) de como llegar by train 🚂 & bus 🚌:
Tomar en Constitucion el tren Roca, bajar en la estacion Monte Grande, del mismo lado que se baja buscar la parada de colectivo linea 501 el de cartel 6A este hace una linea casi recta de 8 cuadras y dobla en la calle Brown. Y hay que bajar en Brown al 700 que es donde corta la calle Mitre.
El que prefiera caminar son 15 cuadras desde la estacion a la casa

Hash #588 Sunday 27th January - Monte Grande

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, relax and sip a few beers, here we come along with the BA Hash and hit you with another run. This weekend, we are off to the Province and a trip out to Monte Grande, and our hares Good Service, Doon Doon y Mikele will certainly look after us well, out in the campo.

Now, Doon Doon, with his wonderful ability in English, sent me the details in Spanish, and very comprehensive they are indeed. Given that nearly all of us here now speak Spanish, I thought I would leave it to you to translate if you need to - (Ed's Note - If anyone can give the RA a clue as to any of what it says, he'd be grateful!).

Seriously, if any has any problems with understanding the details, just let me know, and I'll do my best to help (Ed's Note - Yeh Right!).

Nos es muuuuuy grato invitarlos, compartirlos, contagiarlos a este HASH 588!!!!
El BAHHH is alive! Sí seguimos corriendo y tomando litros de cerveza en este mes de enero de 2013!
Este domingo 27 de enero de 2013 el encuentro será en los alrededores del Gran Buenos Aires.
Los esperamos, nos encontramos, en una hermosa casa situada el Monte Grande.
Dónde es eso? Acá nomás, en monte grande.
Miguel nos abre las puertas de su Mansion en monte Grande para disfrutar de una hermosa tarde con piscina, parque, mosquitos, sol y litros y litros de cerveza, hermosa y rubia cerveza.
No se pierdan este Hash! No se pierdan esta hermosa tarde de verano, este asado criollo (Miguel estará a cargo de la parrilla), esta tarde de verano, de running, de caminata por Monte, una zona rural en las afueras de BA.
Cuando: este domingo 27 de enero 2013, a las 11:30 hs.-

Qué traer: Tu Mug!, zapatillas para correr muuuuuuchos kilometros, traje de baño (Miguel no tiene drama en que se bañen en pelotas), repelente de mosquitos, corpiño, plato y cubiertos y..... $40 par el Hash Fee (no se hagan los boludos y paguen al Hash Cash).

By car
Desde donde vengan tomar autopista Ricchieri direccion Ezeiza ( todos saben llegar) salir en la salida Autopista Ezeiza Cañuelas direccion Cañuelas.
Hacer 3.3 km, en el 1er puente salir en la salida "La Horqueta" girar a la izquierda, seguir por la calle La Horqueta va a doblar ligeramente y se convierte en Antonio Cervetti, pasar una estacion de servicio Petrobras, cruzar las vias , en la rotonda seguir derecho y en el 1er semaforo despues de la rotonda doblar a la izquierda se llama Av Santa Marina, 1 cuadra despues del 1er semaforo doblar a la derecha ( se llama Pedro Fariña), hacer 3 cuadras y doblar a la derecha ( se llama Av Mitre), al 721 has llegado a destino.

Hash Trash Updates

The End of One Year, The start of the Next #586 & #587

And so we draw the veil on 2012 and look forward to 2013 with Hashpectations! The end of the Year Show took place in San Telmo, with Rory and Cat, are very welcome guests from Ireland hosting and hareing, while the New Year was brought in, in French style, by Forest Drunk in Boulogne Sur Mer.

Both hashes were blessed by Blue Skies, very hot sun, and plenty of beer. We managed a few namings to end the Year, with Hares Rory & Cat being named "I Rish I was Bi" and "Open Down Under" respectively, and a long time unnamed Hasher, Caz, being given the title of "Hardly Cums".

The runs were great on both Hashes, with the New Years being shorter as the weather was expected to reach the mid 30's - It did. We welcomed visitors and virgins, and Open Down Under's Home made Lasagne left us all willing to have a whip around to keep her in Buenos Aires as long as possible.

Three Beer Stops along the way in the Norther Barrio, close to France, were very welcome, with only one casualty. visiting Hasher Hardigan Sweater losing the pack after the third stop, but thankfully returning for a dip in the pool, and a down down for failing to keep up.

The OO-LA-LA Hash #587 - Sunday Jan 13th

Happy New Year to everyone, and our first Hash of 2013, the year of our 20th Burpday, is upon us this Sunday. Forest Drunk has invited us up to wonderful home, in the strangely French sounding Boulogne sur Mer, on the northern side of the city.

Given the French name, what better way to kick off the year, than with a french theme to the Hash. So dust off your feather boas, string up your onions, eat lots of garlic, and come attired in something akin to being french for the day.

By train.
from retiro take the Villa Rosa red train and get off at Boulogne Sur Mer(about 30 mins).take the left exit and walk parralel with the train line(the same direction as the train continues) until you come to Darraguirra,turn left and it's 300 metres from there, about 10 minutes walk.

By car
from panamericana,Marquez,follow signs for Boulogne/Hurlingham along avenida Rolon,go under the tunnel until calle Assemblea,turn right and continue until Darraguirra where you turn left and it,s two blocks
